This Doctrine of the Priesthood issue publishes Joseph Smith’s Grammar and Alphabet of the Egyptian Language for study of the Prophet’s doctrine on Patriarchal Priesthood rather than as an Egyptian-language manual. The issue is historiographically significant as the first print publication prepared for Latter-day Saint doctrinal study of the Grammar and Alphabet.
