Originally written in 1978 as a response to Walter Martin and published in Doctrine of the Priesthood in February 2014, this work argues from the Bible and Restoration scripture that Adam is the Lord from Heaven and the Father of the human family. It does not rest on a narrow proof-text cluster, but traces a larger scriptural witness: Paul’s Adam/Christ theology, Acts 17’s divine-lineage language, the Son of Man/Son of Adam title, Adamic names such as Ahman, and corroborating passages from Moses and the Pearl of Great Price.
